An explanation is needed in describing our wrong pedigree: It should be noted that the Mormon reason for being is that the death of the original apostles of Jesus Christ ended Apostolic succession, being there were no more Apostles annointed.
It is not hard to see we are in the last days. Yesterday's news was that sources unknown had been planning to nuke 7 major U.S. cities the same day, some time in the near future. Then there is all sorts of supporting evidence with news that the harvestable fishes of the oceans will be fished out within a few more decades....not to be the bearer of bad news....because there is hope.
We believe the so-called historical Christian church no longer possesses the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is the Mormon doctrine of the Great Apostasy, a doctrine taught by Paul in the New Testament. in 2 Thes. 2 1-5 and Acts 20:29-31 Paul expressed his concern about an inevitable coming apostasy; he spent a great deal of energy warning the Church about it.
For this reason the LDS Church does not recognize the so-called binding authority of subsequent developments in historical Christianity.

For all the criticism we recieve over this restoration, I chuckle that the Protestants essentially did the same thing in the fifteenth century in rejecting the historical pedigree of Catholicism.
In spite of Protestants and Catholics rejecting each other historically, each demanding they possess the true gospel, they still consider each other Christian.
Perhaps the left hand doesn't remember what the right hand was doing when their very inconsistant charges come in our direction.
I have been so very busy, BUT I have not forgotten WHAT I asked you about, just busy, much is personal, I do NOT want it in public view as the *click clique* has attempted to assassinate me many times as it is...
Indeed one day I will finish the project I began and when it is complete I will *pass it on* to you...
Please, you and Gecko say a Prayer for me if you would...
There are others being assassinated on their Blogs as of late so you and I are NOT alone...
I do use foul language, this I have told you from the beginnings so be forewarned, my Blog has cussing on it right now for the *bad people* picking on others at this time BUT I did state LOUD & CLEAR as I am counter assassinating some FAKE people who attempting to hide behind Christ & Christianity to hurt others...
Emphatically; there, on my Blog Post I state I DO NOT mean YOU, Gecko, Jennifer, and others I PERSONALLY interact with on the Blogs as I KNOW in my heart that YOU ALL ARE Christians...
The hate mongers are running a muck at this time it seems, be strong Sister, defend what YOU know in YOUR heart to be TRUTHS as THAT is what matters...
You and your husband just by being so long persecuted by the masses as I have being a Pagan MUST endure STRONGER challenges and exercise greater Faith professions as we are so misaligned by hate and prejudices, having said that I feel it means we work harder to profess and protect the word and Doctrines WE know are truths...
To me, this makes us stronger, we are more protected because we so work harder, hence we are also rewarded greater for our sufferings as *hit is known* we will fight to the end for our beliefs and maintaining and making them known...
Love & Light,
Your Sister Reba
There is only one WORD, it is the WORD of God, translated perfectly, translated with peer review, openness and honesty. It is historically accurate, can be supported scientifically, and has undergone NO changes in content and meaning.
Can you say that?
There is One God. One mind, One purpose.
You wish to contend with me over silliness. Please. And like a predicatable anti-Mormon, you keep changing the subject as you have nowhere to go on the previous. Does this mean you accept my remarks as accurate?
Now you want to talk about the fabrication that the correct gospel does not change...presumably since God does not change that must mean he has nothing more or new to tell us. And presumably, man in his corruption does not change the gospel to suit himself.
If you believe it important that the Gospel of Jesus Christ not change, then God help you. If you believe through corruption the Gospel of Jesus Christ has not changed, then God help you. The Gospel has changed as a part of his plan and in opposition to his plan with dispensations, with revelation, with the philosophies of men mingled with it, with all the Protestant new translations of the Bible, with new realities about what the origins really were as my husband earlier revealed in the Dead Sea Scrolls, as evident in the thousands of Christologies where there should be one, with the regular and ongoing breakup of Protestant denominations and conferences and assemblies and churches to this day - all beginning with your protestant reformation....when do you want me to stop.
If the Gospel is not supposed to change today, we still should have Apostles, Priesthood, Revelation, Modern day Prophets and Prophecies and tithing. It has not only changed through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, it has been restored. Investigate it and you will see how the restoration is God sent.
The restored gospel changed it all back. That is what God always does when things really get messed up. You know that if you understand the Bible.

If you wish to write further, please make it consistant with my original post. You might want to read it again to refresh your mind on what I would like to talk about.
In my growing love for you, it becomes clear that one need not be Christian to be a good lovable person, and it is not necessary for one to be Mormon to be a good Christian. We all wander this Earth wounded. For me the Restoration has brought healing, has saved my marriage, has taken away my chronic depression, has restored my life.
I read last weeks TIME and that of course was the Mitt Romney cover issue and I did not learn much more than I already knew about the man and about Mormonism, but it still was a good read. The second thing I read that I recommend you check out would be this weeks issue of TIME. The reader letters section featured alot of feedback regarding Romney, religion, Mormonism, and the Presidency. These letters were very passionate to say the least. Some of your church bretheren (I use that loosely as affiliation not as some sort of generalized insult of conformity as I have far too much respect for individuals of faith) raised some very interesting points that I thought would make you smile. Please give it a read if you haven't already. I am quite sure that if you can not find a copy of the issue (released last Monday) that you can look at the archives at TIME.com.
I hope that you and Gecko are enjoying your weekend start and that you are both filled with happiness and smiles.
Be well and safe.
Godspeed.

I am a Catholic who has an Uncle who is a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints in Binghamton, NY. As far as I can see, we are BOTH Christians. We may take diferent paths and believe in different manners, but essentially we believe in the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, born man yet son of God. I keep pointing out that it isn't the church we belong to that makes us Christian it's whether or not we believe in the teachings of Jesus. It's like talking to a wall sometimes.
My Mom died last year and he asked my permission, as next of kin, to have her baptised by proxy because she was not baptised by full immersion. I don't really understand the need, but he's 84 and if he wants this assurance that his sister will be with him in the afterlife he has my blessings. I don't know if he's proposed her for consideration yet, but he has my full cooperation and whatever else he needs in this.
I believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, my path to that belief is different than the one you walk, but the destination is the same.

Much thanks for your information, I will remark as I find the sources. My husband and I are on the edge of crawling into the sick bed after a tough week. Gecko has some kind of illness that went from his head with an upper respiratory infection straight to his stomach with, lets just say, an involuntary new dietary regiment by losing a great deal of water weight - if you follow the flow of my meaning.
Thank you for taking the time to reflect and for your support. If you ever find yourself on a road to Hawaii, we'll give you a place to stay....things are expensive out here. Cut out the cost of lodging and things become tolerable.

My husband and I work intimately on opposite sides of the Big Island. We pick up viruses and the like from both sides and share them with each other.
It is so nice that you would stroll on by.
Your understanding is actually not correct in the manner you asked the question. The phrase "finding our way back" and the phrase "restoration movement" mistakenly indicates we have sifted through what has transpired since the death of the Apostles and have accepted certain stuff and rejected other stuff. Not True. Also, we are not a "movement". We claim actual divine authority through a personal visitation of God. No restoration movement since Christ has begun and has been confirmed in such a manner. Although this may sound like I am splitting hairs, I most certainly am not. Mormons know what is happening with them is not unlike what happened to the Israelites with Moses. I am not exaggerating to make my point. We read in the Bible where the Ark of the Covenant and its portable temple was not just a metaphor for God's authority, but God through fire, smoke, and light abode there physically.
As humans we tend to be nearsighted spiritually. We need to look further back than we do. God has used his restoration repeatedly to burn the old. Abraham, Moses, Noah, Jesus each received what Joseph Smith was provided (undisputed authority from God the Father). There are many other examples as you examine the Bible alone. In short, God has always sent His people into the Wilderness with Him in order to be Restored. At the far end of every wilderness paradise can always be found. When studying the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints what consitutes that Paradise is unmistakably the Temple and the fruition of the Covenants made there.
The Temple covenants I have been so blessed to have made Temple covenants with my husband and sealed by God. These are no Masonic chirade, as some suppose. We are in the last dispensation, The Dispensation of the Fullness of Times where all truths that ever were will be restored. It is the last Dispensation.
I apologize for carrying on so. But I must say, so many have had difficulty even with the basics as my husband (Gecko, Stealtharachnid) wrote them. The difficulty is not in his writing. It is in the seeing.
You share such beautiful graphics in my drab little blog. Thank you for adorning the walls.
